Weather Station

Countryside Academy's Weather Station is one of 8,000 Weather Bug Tracking Stations and more than 1,000 cameras primarily based at neighborhood schools and public safety facilities across the U.S., Weather Bug maintains the largest exclusive weather network in the world. The live local weather conditions are delivered to millions of consumers via the Internet and the National Weather Service, and to broadcast television stations, schools, and businesses.

Countryside Academy's Weather Station data can be seen on WSBT channel 22. Weather Bug started in the education market by pioneering a program which installed professional-grade weather stations at schools then networked them together. The data from these stations allowed teachers to apply real-world weather conditions when teaching math, science and geography. Next, Weather Bug introduced a rigorous curriculum that met national and state education standards for grades K-12. Today more than 250,000 students and teachers log in every year for true hands on learning. The Weather Bug ‘on-air’ solution connected schools to broadcast meteorologists across the U.S.
